Meet Sorrel: Our Most Versatile Volume Lash Yet

Meet Sorrel: Our Most Versatile Volume Lash Yet

You've probably noticed that most lash extensions come in one color — black. And black lashes are beautiful, no question. But they're not the most natural match for everyone. If your hair leans more dark brown than jet black, or you just prefer a softer look around the eyes, black clusters can feel like they're announcing themselves a little too loudly.

That's the gap Sorrel was designed to fill. It's our first dark brown lash style, and it's a volume lash — so you're still getting fullness and dimension. But the color reads softer, more blended, more like your lashes just happen to look incredible today. It took a while to develop, and honestly, we're really proud of how it turned out.

What Makes Sorrel Different From Our Other Styles

If you've tried our Classic collection, you know those styles lean natural and understated. Sorrel lives in our Volume collection, which means more fullness — but the clusters themselves are so lightweight you might forget you're wearing them. It's like the difference between a heavy winter coat and a fitted jacket. Same coverage, completely different feel.

The dark brown tone is really what sets it apart, though. If your brow color or hair color leans brown rather than black, Sorrel is going to match you in a way our other styles don't. It's a small thing that changes the whole effect.

A Good Starting Point if You're New to DIY Lash Extensions

A lot of first-timers tell us they're nervous about the application process, and that's completely fair. If that's you, Sorrel is a forgiving place to start. The clusters lay flat along your lash line without a lot of adjusting, and the whole application takes about 10 minutes — genuinely 10 minutes, not the "10 minutes" that actually means 30.

You get four customizable lengths in each set (10mm, 12mm, 14mm, and 16mm), so you can build a lash map that works for your eye shape. Apply once, take care of them, and they hold for up to 7 days.

Three Ways to Map Your Lengths

One set of Sorrel clusters can give you noticeably different looks depending on how you arrange the lengths:

The low-key everyday. Stick with the 10mm and 12mm clusters across your lash line. This gives you that "my lashes just look really good" effect without looking done-up. Great for work, errands, video calls — the days where you want to look polished but not like you tried.

The soft cat-eye. Use shorter clusters on the inner corners and bring the 14mm lengths toward the outer edge. This creates a subtle lift that's flattering for date nights, dinners, or anytime you want a little more shape without going full glam.

The full moment. All four lengths, graduated from short at the inner corner up to 16mm at the outer edge. This is the lash map for when you have somewhere to be and you want your eyes to do the talking.

The whole point of having four lengths is that you decide what feels right. There's no wrong combination.

Care Tips for the Full 7-Day Wear

These are the same basics that apply to all our lash styles, but they're worth repeating — especially if this is your first set:

Start with a clean, dry lash line. Oil and moisturizer residue will keep the bond from holding properly. It's like trying to tape something to a wet surface. Apply your lashes before skincare and work around them.

Let the bond get tacky first. About 30 seconds after applying the bond, place your clusters. Going in while it's still wet is the number one reason clusters slide around during the first hour.

Skip water for 6 hours. The bond needs time to fully set. A good trick is applying your lashes in the evening so you can sleep through that window and shower the next morning with no issues.

Be gentle around your eyes during the week. Pat instead of rub when you're cleansing. Avoid oil-based products near your lash line — oil is literally how the remover works, so oil-based skincare will gradually weaken the bond.

After 7 days, remove them and start fresh. This is a hygiene thing, not a marketing thing — fresh clusters mean a clean lash line, no buildup, and no risk of irritation from adhesive that's been on too long 💛
